How to Buy Porn Traffic That Isn't Bots

Buy porn traffic with a tracker already running, judge it zone by zone, and cut placements that show bot patterns before they eat the budget. Most bad traffic hides poorly: it shows up as impossible click rates, zero-second sessions and visitors from the wrong country.

This page lists the signals I check first and what to do once a zone fails.

Where Bad Porn Traffic Comes From

Bad traffic comes from three places: bots, misdeclared inventory and placements nobody actually sees.

  • Bots and scripts. Automated visits that load pages or click ads, often from data center IP ranges.
  • Misdeclared inventory. Traffic sold as one GEO or one site that really comes from somewhere else, including proxy and VPN visits.
  • Invisible placements. Hidden iframes, stacked ads and forced redirects that count impressions no human saw.

Age verification laws added a fourth problem. After UK age checks began in July 2025, VPN use jumped, so part of the UK traffic you buy may route through other countries, and part of your other GEOs may be British users in disguise.

Seven Signals of Bad Traffic

One signal is a reason to look closer; two or three on the same zone are a reason to cut it.

Check these per zone ID in your tracker once each zone has enough visits to read. A few hundred clicks is a sensible floor for most of them.

  1. Extreme CTR. Click rates far above the network's norm for that format; real users rarely click banners at 10 percent.
  2. Empty sessions. Time on page near zero seconds, with no scroll and no interaction.
  3. Cloned visitors. Many visits sharing one user agent, screen size or IP range.
  4. Hosting IPs. Data center ranges instead of residential connections and mobile carriers.
  5. GEO mismatch. Device time zone or browser language that does not fit the claimed country.
  6. Flat timing. Clicks spread evenly around the clock instead of peaking in the local evening.
  7. Clicks without conversions. Heavy volume and zero conversions while other zones on the same offer convert normally.

The Tracking Setup That Exposes Bad Zones

Track at zone level with server-to-server postbacks. Pass the network's zone or source ID, the campaign ID and the cost into your tracker through URL macros, and send conversions back from the offer by postback rather than by browser pixel.

If you run your own landing pages, add a light bot check: flag headless browsers, missing interaction events and hosting IPs, and log them as a separate metric per zone. Trackers such as Voluum have ready integrations with networks like TrafficStars and let you build zone blacklists straight from the report.

What to Do With a Bad Zone

Blacklist it first, then report it. The order protects your budget while support reads your ticket.

  1. Block it everywhere. Add the zone to the blacklist of every campaign on that network, not just the one where you spotted it.
  2. Export the evidence. Zone ID, dates, clicks, sessions, IP or ASN breakdown and conversions.
  3. Open a ticket. Send it to support or your account manager and ask for a review. Networks credit some fraud cases, not all, and documented reports get taken seriously.
  4. Keep one master list. Maintain a shared blacklist file per network and apply it to every new campaign.

If several zones from one publisher fail, ask the network to exclude that publisher entirely. If a whole source keeps failing, stop buying from it. Cheap traffic that never converts is the most expensive traffic you can buy.

Porn Traffic Quality: FAQ

How do I know if porn traffic is real?

Compare zones on the same offer. Real traffic shows normal time on page, evening peaks in the target GEO and some conversions; bot traffic shows extreme CTR, zero-second visits and nothing at the end of the funnel.

Do adult ad networks refund bot traffic?

Some do, case by case, when you send zone-level evidence. Policies differ, so read the network's terms before you deposit.

How many clicks do I need before judging a zone?

A few hundred clicks, or one to two offer payouts in spend, whichever comes first. Earlier verdicts mostly measure noise.

Can a VPN visitor still be a real customer?

Yes. Since age checks spread, many real adults browse through VPNs. Judge VPN-heavy zones on conversions and session behavior, not on IP type alone.

Is cheap porn traffic always bots?

No. Tier 3 popunder traffic is cheap because of supply and lower payouts, not because it is fake. Price alone tells you little; zone data tells you far more.
